Product Description

The Zaptec Go 2 is a premium charging point with high reliability and future-proof charging technology. In combination with the Zaptec Sense, the charging capacity is automatically adjusted to the current energy consumption in the home. This prevents overloading of the meter box and always keeps you within the available grid capacity.

 

Bidirectional charging (Future-ready)

The Zaptec Go 2 is prepared for bidirectional charging (V2G / AC). This means that in the future, the charging station will not only be able to charge but also supply energy back to your home or the electricity grid, as soon as this functionality is officially released.

 

Please note:

  • For bidirectional charging, the car must support AC bidirectional charging.

  • The car must comply with the ISO 15118-20 communication standard.

  • In addition, a software update from Zaptec is required before the function becomes active.

  • Availability depends on grid operator and market regulations.

 

Currently, you can therefore use the charging station normally for 'regular' charging, but as soon as bidirectional charging is released in the Netherlands, the hardware will already be suitable and the charging station will not need to be replaced.

How Zaptec Sense works

Zaptec Sense measures the current electricity consumption in the home. As soon as there is more consumption (e.g. hob, heat pump), the charging station automatically reduces the charging power. When the load decreases, charging speeds up again.

This prevents the main fuse from tripping and often makes strengthening the connection unnecessary.
